Throwing the First Pitch at Kansas City Royals Game

One of my first stops as Ms. United States was at a Kansas City Royals game in July 2011. I was thrilled to be invited to throw the first pitch this fall during the Royals' final series at Kauffman Stadium. As one of my favorite childhood pasttimes, I was so honored to step on the field and be a part of the action on September 13, 2011. I even threw a strike! Thanks to my friends and family for coming out to share the moment with me.
